MAY THE HYPERBOREAN in "NIGHTMARE IN METAL" This story was originally written in 1990. It introduced May the Hyperborean, who first appeared (in a comic strip) in Plogg #1 (August, 1994). The story was revised in 1999, returning to the first draft, mostly minor changes, except for Chapter One, where a character named Zuzz was replaced by Buckler. Although written for children, Nightmare In Metal is a Fairy Tale in the classical sense and, as such, it can be a bit gruesome. Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three Chapter Four Chapter Five Chapter Six MAY THE HYPERBOREAN in "THE GRUESOME" Here's the sequel to "Nightmare in Metal". The story continues with May having made her way to the Bay of Wolves at the port city of Megan, where all the pirate ships dock. She's looking to join the crew of the notorious ship called The Gruesome. There's a festival underway in Megan, celebrating a night sky with no moon (rare enough considering there's a dozen moons orbiting the Earth). The Gruesome was written in 2010.
